Croatia part 1:
Well Croatia could not have gone any better. Amazing weather, crystal seas and, cheap food and drink. There really is no better way to describe our time here. There have been several highlights including a wine tasting in Milna on the first night. A family run cellar which was in a 360 year old cave was where we got to try a local white, red, dessert, grappa, and olive oil. Our favorite was the dessert wine which had a distinct almond flavour, which was apparently due to the barrel.
Hvar was the next stop, the new hub for the rich and famous. This place had a distinct party vibe with the highlight being hula hula bar, set on the rocks pumping 70s disco funk all afternoon. Frozen daiquiris the clear favorite here. This place is definitely a more affordable option to St. Tropez.
Korcula was the next stop, the birthplace of Marco Polo. It was a pretty chilled night here, where the focus was the Croatia vs. Spain game. Plenty of screens all set up outside bars made for an awesome atmosphere. The Croatians were all dressed for the occasion too.
Dubrovnik was a pretty big night, with the majority of drinks being served out of a bucket. Everyone was on good form from our boat which always makes it fun. Plus how can you complain when england win, even if it is only one nil.
The best thing however are the swim stops every day. We stop every day for around two hours to swim in the clearest water. It's usually around 6 meters deep and you can easily see the bottom. We also bought a lilo which has served well. Only a couple of people have dared to jump off the mast from the tiniest bit off rickety wood. Don't think either of us will be attempting that.
