Hiccup #1

Today alarms were set for 8am to get us out of the camp site by 9 at the latest. Everything ran smoothly until we reached the bus stop and saw traffic 10x worse than military road on a Monday morning. As we watched bus after bus filled to the brim with other travelers heading to the island pass us by, the 2 hour window we gave ourselves to make the 10 min journey to the station rapidly disappeared. When finally getting on a bus at 10.25 we thought we were on track with a good 20 mins to spare at the station. However the 10 min bus ride took us a whole 55minutes! The train was missed. The remained of the day was spent waiting in Venice and bologna for subsequent trains and playing the dumb tourist card to avoid steep fines for having the wrong tickets.
